2024 is a big year for Communauto in Toronto. Our fleet has been growing steadily since we launched in the city in 2018. But this year, we’ve ordered more new cars than the last four years combined. Doubling the Fleet in 2024
One of the most exciting developments this year is our plan to almost double the number of round-trip cars available in Toronto. This increase will greatly enhance car availability across our existing coverage areas, making it even easier for members to find a car when they need one. Whether you’re commuting to work, running errands, or planning a weekend getaway, the increased number of cars ensures greater convenience and flexibility.
Expanding to New Neighbourhoods
As part of our growth strategy, we are thrilled to announce our expansion into three new Toronto neighbourhoods: Etobicoke, Weston, and Scarborough. This move comes in response to the growing demand from residents in these areas who have been traveling to distant locations to access our cars. By bringing our services closer to their homes, we aim to provide a more accessible and convenient solution.
In these new neighbourhoods, we will be adding a total of five stations and ten cars. This expansion not only enhances our presence in Toronto but also supports our mission to make carsharing a viable and sustainable transportation option for more people across the city.
