Communauto is continuing to grow in Toronto. Starting today, our FLEX service officially expands into south-west Scarborough, giving even more Torontonians access to convenient, flexible transportation.
Made possible through the support of the City of Toronto, this expansion reflects a shared commitment to offering residents more sustainable transportation options and making it easier to live with fewer, or even without, a personal vehicle.
Bringing FLEX to south-west Scarborough
The new FLEX zone extends into south-west Scarborough, covering the area between Victoria Park Avenue to Birchmount Road and follows the C.N. Railway to Birchmount on the southern limit.
The expanded zone is now live in the Communauto app, allowing you to begin and end FLEX trips throughout the area.
Better connections for everyday travel
This expansion strengthens connections between Toronto’s east end and the rest of the Communauto network, making it easier to travel without relying on a personal vehicle.
Located near TTC line 2 stations (Victoria Park and Warden) and several major transit routes, the new FLEX zone makes it easier to combine public transit with carsharing for the parts of your journey where a car makes the most sense.
Whether you’re picking up groceries, visiting family, or setting out on a weekend adventure, FLEX gives you access to a vehicle only when you need one, without the costs and responsibilities of ownership.
Parking in the new zone
As with all FLEX trips, vehicles must be parked legally when ending a reservation.
Before ending your trip, remember to:
- Park within the FLEX zone boundaries shown in the app.
- Follow all City of Toronto parking regulations and posted signage.
- Ensure the vehicle is safely parked and locked before ending your trip.
